Why plant trees in Honduras?

  • Trees are natural air filters. They have been quietly offsetting carbon emissions for centuries, converting carbon dioxide into the oxygen we need for life. One tree can absorb 31lbs of carbon dioxide each year. An average size tree produces enough oxygen to keep a family of four breathing.

  • Rainforest are home for more than 50% of earth's plants and animals. It is important for us to help to preserve the biodiversity of our Earth. Rainforests cover less than 2 percent of Earth's total surface. The land we are helping to preserve is a tropical humid forest.

  • Trees are the most effective land cover for maintenance of water quality. Forests regulate soil erosion, reduce sediment load, turbidity, the need for treatment and costs to supply clean water to the local community.

  • To expand regenerative agriculture practices that are a holistic approach to create balance and sustainability in our environment.

  • The Hernandez family has been doing a great job at managing their humid tropical forest land. They have land available to expand the forest and are eager to do so.

  • This reforestation project creates environmental jobs in Honduras. Local people among the community are being hired to plant trees and to help with the maintenance of the young trees.

  • To expand awareness and consciousness on tropical humid forest diversity, preservation and management among local and global communities.

Your support is crucial to cover expenses related to the purchase, planting and caring for the young trees for five years to ensure their survival. Planting trees is the perfect way to heal the environment in our planet.

¡Thank you!
